Fused glass engine house

I have been working hard developing my own fused glass seascape style, and have really wanted to make a picture with a engine house in it.

This is a picture after the first fuse.

I am going to add a little more colour and some more detail, but have decided to leave the engine house  empty so it really stands out. The finished picture will soon be on: www.fusedartglass.co.uk.

Porthtowan craft fair

Despite getting the day wrong (and turning up the day before), the park re-opening and craft even was a great success in Porthtowan. The rain gave way to dry spells and there was a very good turn out from locals and tourists alike. The craft tent had an interesting array of products and we really concentrated on display.

We have found in the past that a when all the glass is laid out it looks too flat so ‘showcased’ our new display stand which gives the table a bit more dimension. Our new range was out and received lots of lovely comments and overall we were pleased with the success on the day. We have another craft fair at the end of August in Kingsley village which we hope will be just as successful. We are slowly adding more to our website so please come and have a look www.fusedartglass.co.uk.

You mean the world to me…..

Out of our kiln today has been an idea long in the making.

This beautiful fused glass picture will soon be made into a tea light holder and features the earth as seen from space – we’re just working out how to do the writing ‘you mean the world to me’!

It will soon be featured on our website: www.fusedartglass.co.uk

Unfortunatley the picture doesn’t do this justice and it really looks beautiful int he flesh!

Fused glass fairy dish

We’ve not long taken out our fused glass fairy dish from the kiln and it’s looking beautiful. When making fused glass commissions it’s always nerve racking to show it to it’s new owner, but luckily she loved the picture she has seen.

The dish itself is a deep plum colour and this really makes the images stand out. These are available to buy from our website:www.fusedartglass.co.uk
